In aid of charity, I undertook to run the London Marathon, motivation was there but I lacked the strength to pull off a marathon by myself. Gaby was introduced to me by my boyfriend and for months, 3 mornings a week Gaby would come to my house and help me work up strength in my legs, bottom and upper body. A strong upper body keeps you upright while running and prevents injury to stomach and back. I have run 4 marathons in my life but by far the easiest one to recuperate from was this last one (London Marathon 2004). A measure of strength is in the ability to recover quickly from something as big as a marathon. Gaby’s holistic approach to fitness and health ensured that not only was I physically prepared for the marathon but also mentally prepared. Not only did I manage to raise funds for the charity I ran for but was in great shape when I finished? I even went for a run 4 days later! I am still adhering to the good habits and correct techniques for strength training.

This letter serves to confirm that I trained with Gabriella Corsi for the period 27 July 2005 to 21 October 2005. I was referred to her by Dr Ross Potgieter as I experienced constant lower back problems as a result of years of road running. The pain I experienced was so sever that I had to give up running. She used extensive exercise program to strengthen my abdominals and lower back. As a direct result of her training sessions, I am not experiencing any lower back pain. In addition, she has managed to strengthen my abdominals and lower back muscles considerably. I hope to be back on the road soon. She has proved to be a reliable, efficient and well mannered trained. No task was too difficult for her and she used her initiative to vary every training session to prevent monotony. On a personal level she is charming, friendly and courteous person who applies herself 100% to her duties. I can recommend her without any hesitation.

I was diagnosed with two extremely bulging discs in my lower spine, the pain was unbelievable and an operation was on the cards. I was pretty much confined to bed, other than going to doctors and an outstanding chiropractor, Dr Ross Potgieter. Ross sent me to a neurologist and introduced me to Gaby. Ross and Gaby kept me away from the neurologist’s surgical rooms and this is where my relationship with Gaby began. Gaby took me from the confinements of my bed in September 2004 to where I am today. I am now leading a completely normal and active life. Gaby is patient and has an unbelievable knowledge of the human anatomy, muscle groups, body structure and their interrelationships. In addition Gaby has a vast knowledge of personal training disciplines that included Pilates, resistance training, stretching, breathing and weight training to name a few. Today I am stronger, fitter and my back is in the healthiest position, it has been in many years. I can suggest Gaby with great confidence

I was diagnosed with sever osteoporosis and was medically advised to follow a strict exercise regime in order to arrest the progress of the Silent disease I joined walk for life, but was not sufficient to achieve the results needed. I commenced my training with Gabriella C. in June 2003. I trained twice a week initially, and then increased my training to three times a week and have achieved several milestones due to her very professional approach. Her diligence and caring and total dedication to her profession is admirable. She is punctual, professional and challenging to her approach. She has spurred me on and assisted me in achieving results I could never have reached on my own. I have enjoyed training at home. Gaby, Just a short note to say how much I appreciate your coaching to rectify a lower back injury (L5/L6 herniation). I have been a different person since the coaching. I had had numbness in my lower trunk, especially my right leg. Within 3 weeks of the coaching, 90% of the numbness had disappeared. After 3 months of coaching I can truly say that the exercising you gave me will be a part of my life. I had been told that I may have to have surgery if I did not start with the Pilates. If I keep up with the exercising, I may never have to have the operation. Thanks and keep up the professional coaching.

I approached Gabriella during November of 2003, as I was suffering with sever back and neck pains. I had consulted specialists and physiotherapist for many years, for relief, with disappointing results. At age fifty six I was constantly reminded of my posture, which was well set in. Little could be done to cure the stiffness and the pain short of an operation, which was not recommended. As a businessman the daily pressure contributed to the ailment. I have now stretching with Gaby for six months. We meet at my home 2 to 3 times a week for 45-60 minute sessions. We begin with warm up exercises and progress gradually to a more strenuous routine. The stiffness that I experienced has lessened significantly and the backaches and neck aches rarely occur. Posture has improved, a feature doctors claimed permanent. Her professionalism, attention to details is the outset she insisted on my doctor’s consent before commencing. Exercises increased gradually being sure not to cause me any damage.

I have suffered with chronic lower back pain for the past 10 years. 2 years ago, I pulled a muscle in my back and could not walk properly for months after. I was in and out of physiotherapy at least 5 times a month. My back did improve, but I still needed physiotherapy twice a month. I then heard about Gaby and started Pilates. Shortly after starting with Gaby, my back started getting stronger and I was able to have fewer physiotherapy sessions. At this point in time, I rarely go for physiotherapy treatments and when my back does ache, I know that I can maintain it myself without the need for physiotherapy. I have been for many biokinetic sessions over the years and none of them have been able to maintain my back as Gaby has. Gaby really seems to understand the human body. Gaby has honestly changed my life and enabled me to live a far more normal life without continually having to worry about my lower back.
